A Personal Message From Lempi Miller (FoS)

I am always happy to participate in the Pinkathon San Francisco, benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The organizers of this event, breast cancer survivors Ellen Holbrook and Lisa Felder do everything on a 100% volunteer basis, so 100% of your donation goes directly to breast cancer research. We’ve always loved watching Lenny's Maughan's Pink Ribbon Trail materialize on the map, and now it's become even more meaningful.

After many years of enthusiastically participating in this event for fun with my children and friends, Pinkathon turned personal for me in 2024. I've practiced what breast cancer experts preach, and religiously gotten a yearly mammogram.  This year, during that screening and the subsequent diagnostic imaging and biopsy, I've become a member of the club nobody wants to join. Luckily, research and treatments have come a long way, and I look forward to soon counting myself as a survivor too!

  • Online donations have a processing fee.  
  • Checks do not have a processing fee.  If your donation is a large amount (perhaps over $1000 or more) and you prefer to write a Check instead of donating online, please make your check payable to: 
    "Breast Cancer Research Foundation" or "BCRF" 
  • In the NOTES section of your check, write: "2025 Pinkathon" and the name of the person or fundraiser you are supporting
  • if possible, take a digital photo of your check and email  or text it to: eholbrook@gmail.com or 510-841-1240 so we can log it onlne before it is deposited by BCRF.
  • Send it to directly to the BCRF HQ address: Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), attn: Christine Ward, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036
  • Alternatively, hand your check to Ellen Holbrook or Lisa Felder or one of the volunteers at the In-Person Event.
  • You can also send it to: Ellen Holbrook, 2515 Piedmont Ave. #9, Berkeley, CA 94704 so that we can "log" your donation before sending it to BCRF for deposit.
